Thread derails are my specialty :D

Fretless' sound great, especially Roscoes. I've just never attempted learning to play one. That and reading.

I've got a lot to learn ;).

Good thing there are kind souls willing to humor my silly/inexperienced questions.

Great looking wood!!!
The only problem with basses that have backs as nice as the tops is that it makes it hard to decide which side to play on. :eek:

I usually decide on the side with strings but some songs just scream for air bass!:D

.......Yeah, I'm starting to get bored in downtown Portland. Fortunately my wife gets off a noon today! Let the road trips begin! :hyper:

Playing fretless broadens your musical vocabulary in so many ways, in particular, (to me at least) phrasing. It enables you to emote musically in ways that you just can't with a fretted bass. Really listen to Jaco's playing with Weather Report. Full spectrum education right there.
