WOW. I know there are already threads on this but I had to let everyone know I won this on ebay. How friggen lucky am I? I just got it today in the mail and it is in UNBELIEVABLE condition. I already have the Foxx Fuzz wah re-issue which is a badass pedal but man this thing kicks major ass!!! Holy ****. I turned my Rat fuzz on in front of it and I swear my house almost exploded...:hyper:

Anyone wanna buy the foxx? It is a kick arse pedal but the morley is the poopttttt. BTW, too bad I did not catch this guy quick enough. He sold a green big muff pi russian pedal right before I bought the Morley and he sold it for $169 buy it now. Yeah, it'll be the same mech as the volume pedals, but just cause it "uses the full sweep" doesn't really mean anything in an electronics design sense. You could use a pot twice the value, use half the sweep and get the same result. Provided you have the right ratio gearing it wouldn't be any different.

What makes the Tel Ray wahs stand head and shoulders above the rest is that they can go from ridiculous to ridiculous... ie; stupidly low frequency at the heel end that's imperceptible except perhaps by elephants, and stupidly high frequency at the toe end that makes hummingbirds drop out of the sky. Then they give you enough physical pedal sweep to pick your spot and rock on it without accidentally causing a stampede. :D

I had a chance to get a Power Wah Fuzz for free a while ago. I declined and ended up with a Boss DM-2 Analog Delay instead. I really like the delay but I always wonder if I made the right decision. Those old Tel-Ray Morley's just can't be beat.

Yeah ive seen the prices varry from really cheap to stupidly expensive. Both Wah's I bought were from the states and shipped to the UK, then had to track down a transformer so it could work at 240v. Easier said then done!

I remember the times (not longer than a year ago!), when they were selling for way under 100$, like 70 or so...

Then, 'somebody' realized, it's the wah Cliff used ... and now some people pay 450$ for it?? :eek: :rollno: :scowl: :mad:

I am glad to hear you're happy with your PWO! :) Can you tell us more about what you like about that wah? Samples? ;)

BTW: I have a feeling inside, that those pedals are very 'uneven'. I mean you have to be lucky to get a 'badass' one. Ofcourse I have nothing to prove that, it's just a feeling.

We do that song...really. My bandmates want me to sequey into it from a bit of "Pulling Teeth".

Those songs are what I cut my teeth on when I started playing some 20 years ago.

God, I've been playing longer than some of you've been alive! :bawl:

And while I love to play, I am a neophyte compared to many of the skilled players on this BBS.

But someday I'm going to have to figure out a way to post soundclips. Right now, I have no idea how to go about it.
