Mosquite Blender Expressio sweep

Does anyone know how to reverse the expression pedal sweep on a One Step Mosquite Blender Expressio ?

I tried reversing the tip and sleeve connections but the sweep stayed the same. Is there a way?

Thanks

Which expression pedal? Is it TRS? If so I think you should swap the ring and the sleeve (rather than tip and sleeve). See the schematic at [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I'm not sure how TS pedals work though - if that's what your pedal is, you might be out of luck...

There are also some expression pedals with a built-in polarity switch, like the Moog EP-3. I'm about to buy a Mosquite and EP3 -- hoping they play nicely together...

Pedal is some old volume pedal a buddy gave me. It works except the sweep direction doesn't change. I tried reversing tip and ring actually...by switching the 2 cables at the pedal end (I'm using a y cable with tip and ring cables on one end and a single trs on the other) I contacted One Control who said switch the tip and ring and when I told them that didn't work they said to try switching the ring and sleeve, (as you said) which involves soldering but I haven't had a chance to tried that yet.

Now it does have a polarity switch but that doesn't have anything to do with the expression pedal, it switches the polarity of the loop in case of phase issues. (If I understand it correctly)

Thanks for the help

Yeah I think you're right -- the polarity switch on the Mosquite just inverts the loop's audio signal.

The Moog EP3 has a separate polarity switch on the expression pedal itself that (I think) switches the polarity of the pot, which would do what you want (for $40).

How do you like the Mosquite, btw? Other than the expression polarity, does it work like it should?

yes, works fine. Footpedal blend control is great. I have like 3 dirt pedals in the loop..switch on the pedal you want, switch on the loop and blend clean and dirt together with no hands.

I'll get the soldering iron out and try to fix the sweep thing this weekend. Problem is probably the ancient exp pedal and not the blender

Well, I just got my blender and my EP-3 in the mail, and the expression is backwards for me too, i.e. I'm getting heel=dirty and toe=clean. I tried a Roland EV-5 as well as a Moog EP-3 and both expression pedals did the same. The weird thing is the EP-3's polarity switch actually does nothing. I tried it into my Mooger Fooger too and same thing, the EP-3 polarity switch does nothing there either. So I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if the EP-3 is just broken.

Anyway, did you try the soldering thing? Let me know if you were able to fix it. If that worked for you, I'll just make a crossover cable here too.
