Double Bass Moving post for more low end

I have a lovely lower end carved Wilfer. First owner never had it set up. I had the bass set up with a new wider bridge. Having the foot closer to the bass bar made a big difference in the low end but it could still be better in the lows. The soundpost is about 3/4in below and just left of center of treble foot. (facing the bass)
Could I get a more low end by moving the post more to the left towards the bass foot?

I need to check my (E.) Wilfer 4/4 5-string. The post was once moved more south and a bit towards the ribs (and therefor shortened a bit) and I got a lot more low end afterwards, but my soundpost was much closer to the bridge foot than yours.
Also the pressure of the soundpost has an influence, the lower the pressure the easier the top can wiggle on top of the post.
If you had an adjustable post you can try it yourself, but a shortened fixed post won’t fit elsewhere afterwards, so my best advice is have a visit at your luthier if possible. Cheaper than a new post …

My very qualified luthier wants to make a new shorter soundpost and fit it closer to the bridge foot on the bass side. I think it's a good idea

My logic says move it a bit towards the treble side, to give the E-side more room to vibrate.
