Mp3 or Midi to Tab Conversion Software

Hello all,
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this thread or if this question has been asked already but, does anyone here know of any software that will automatically convert Mp3's or Midi files to guitar and bass tab and or sheet music? I've done searches on Google and Bing but the search results seem to show every thing but what I'm looking for.

They don't exist to my knowledge- at least not one that would make any kind of accurate bass or guitar tab. (Would be nice though!) ;-)

Yes it would be nice. With all of the programming technology we have today, I'd have thought it would have been done already.

Logic Pro does it. You can just drop a MIDI file in Logic Pro and,
if it is set up to display tablature, it will display it under the regular music.

I posted the steps to make Logic Pro display tablature in another thread.
You configure some stuff once. Then, it is very simple every time after that.

MIDI to Tab is done by many apps.
MP3 to Tab is another story.

Extremely difficult. I'm not aware of a single product currently on the market. There actually used to be one - Digital Music Mentor - but it is no longer sold.

And I don't think you will find too many accurate MIDI files of anything you'd actually want to tab the bass part or guitar for. But I could be wrong.

Nowhere near giving you a bass line from a mp3 but Invalid Link Removed will give you the chords from a mp3 or a youtube clip.

It's a handy starting point
