Finally saved up some cash, along with insurance check. From home being broken into and gear stolen. I haven't ever owned either of these two basses mentioned at the top of the posting. But considering one of the two, both I'm looking for used. But just reaching out to take in a few opinions on either bass. Once again, either a MTD Kingston AG 5string or Cort Elrick JP5 5string

I owned a JP5 for a spell. It's a nice bass, but the string spacing was too much for me at the time. I think I would really enjoy it now. The body is an awkward shape that doesn't fit well in standard cases or gig bags. It had a nice growl to it and was generally easy to play aside from my discomfort with the string spacing.
