Pistachio is a very rare top for MTD. During the build process Mike told me that this combo is one of his all time favorites. The tone is very big, but with a nice growl and controllable top end.
These pickups are dual coils that can be soloed, or in series or parallel with the pair of switches. Then there is also an active/passive switch in the volume along with an active/passive tone control (which really helps with controlling the top end)
I would keep this bass for ever, but I really no longer have a use for a 6 string.
