Have any of you fellow filter freaks seen this?
Mini Mu - Mu-Tron

Seems like it's basically a Mu-Tron Micro-Tron IV without the Level control, Up/Down footswitch or CV/Expression pedal input. According to the manual...
https://mu-tron.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/MiniMu_Quickstart-Guide_v1.pdf
...you can set the Mini Mu to down sweep mode internally (pretty inconvenient if you use both up and down sweep a lot) and you can internally set the Mini Mu to "bleed" bypass, where the Gain stage remains active even when the effect is disengaged, like the original Musitronics Mu-Tron III. From what I've heard, the original Mu-Tron III's Gain gives a sweet clean boost, so if the Mini Mu can match that or get close, that would be a pretty nice feature!

The Mini Mu is $199.00 -- $80 less than the Micro-Tron IV. This intrigues me because I never use down sweep (my actual synths do a much better job of that "Chameleon" sound), and I never use an expression pedal.

They also have a "Baby Phase" with fewer controls than the Phasor III. Interesting stuff...

That was one of my considers when last shopping for a filter I didn't really need. A friend loaned me his MuTron IV and it just wasn't for me. MuTron filters have always been a bit to peaky for my playing and basses though I have mucho respect for Mike B and the brand.

I looked at the Mini-Mu a bit. Ended up going with the Nano Q-Tron. I just wanted a quick quack without a lot of thought. I use a C4 for a bunch of cool filtering patches, but sometimes I just want to go right back to the ‘70s without a bunch of tweaking. Surprisingly good and cheap and small.

Haven’t tried their Octave divider. I’ve used an EBS in the past, which is extremely good. It’s currently on loan to someone as I’ve got that sound replicated in my C4 after I went on a consolidation mission for the Mini Pedaltrain.

YES! It's one of the originals. Not an OC2, it's something different. Leans more towards synthy, very funky.

All I am interested in is , if it is any good - does it track well...not just in guitar register?

hat it does not sound like an OC2 is not a bad thing for me though either.:)
