Double Bass Music for Cello and Double bass?

Can anyone recommend any music either specifically for these two or that could be adapted? On the easy side preferably as we're both not experts at arco playing.

Well, Rossini wrote an awesome duo for Cello and Bass but it's a little on the hard side. You might be best off just finding some introductory-level duet books for two bass clef instruments at a music shop or something and jamming through those. I know there are plenty of fun little things like that out there.

Dragonetti wrote a duo for cello and bass that I lent to my student about a hour ago. I can't remember who the publisher was. It is easier than Rossini which he also borrowed.
You could also look at trombone duets which come in a range of difficulties, and put in your own bowings.

The edition of the Dragonetti duo that I have is McGinnis and Marx.

I've heard recordings of the Bottesini duos done with either viola or cello on one part, but obviously those would be on the harder side, technique-wise, for both players.

I heard:

Sonate a deux (c. 1739) - Jean Barriere (1707-1747)

on a recital last week. Three movements: Andante, Adagio & Presto
It maybe originally for two cellos. The Andante & Adagio may not be too technically challenging, the Presto certainly was.

You could probably play most any Cello duet book, just play the low notes below E up an octave, or even Trombone duets (Voxman), any set of duets for bass clef instruments.

Most bass duets (but not all) are adaptable for cello/bass playing. I posted this before but I'll repeat it - go to ASODB.com, download the free bass duet and you will find it works really well with cello/bass. I have played it that way. Also, I did it with bassoon/bass for a kiddie thing!
