An original '83 Cutlass 1 is the reason I fell in love with Stingrays.. I don't have one, and will always be looking for one, but I do have a 2001 EBMM which I mated with a Status neck that is pretty fricken awesome! You wouldn't be dissapointed with the Status.

I know this is an old post but I own one of these. There was only 600 and change made and if you are lucky enough to havve one with a straight neck you scored. I scored. My absolute favorite bass, heavy but beautiful sound

I am jealous. I am always looking for either the 1 or 2. They never come up..But my Steinberger XL2 will suffice
