Incase this has been asked before, which I bet it has, a link to the previous thread will do perfectly .

So I've just recently started my journey of self improvement with the Bass, and I was thinking that diversifying my musical tastes would do nothing but help my playing...

So at the moment the bands I've been chilling to are the Arctic Monkeys, Incubus, and the Police mainly. I tend to go through quite a few phases...

So can anyone recommend some artists in other genres? Especially those with creative/awesome Bass guitarists..

Anything from Barry White-esque to Black Sabbath would be great, as I love all music..

These Arms Are Snakes (underrated-as-hell bass player, though the vocals do get a little abrasive)

Tool (not technically insane bass lines but definitely some of the most creative stuff I've heard)

Funk From The Trunk (discovered them in a local funk/jazz bar and they put on one hell of a show, bassist was sound as a pound )

Frank Zappa-Joe Garage(progressive rock)(Not too hard to find a good bass album for Zappa IMO).
Belly-King(alternative)(Some great melodic lines on this album, maybe not the most creative bassist, but Gail Greenwood did leave her mark on this album. I highly recommend it).
Alice Cooper-School's Out(rock/shock rock)(Anything album with Dennis Dunaway has lots of great bass playing, although I'm not trying to slight the bassists that came after like Tony Levin. There is just something I like about Dennis more here).
