musicman 5

having owned stingrays for many a year,my present 5 string 1 pickup mm is only a year old.however,im thinking of adding a second pickup to it but not sure if ill geteven a better sound ,or more choice of sounds,...ive seen these 2 pickup mm bases and they look really nice,...but do they offer better or more choice of sounds ?......can someone put me right,or am i going in wrong direction. cheers jon (uk)

I know alot of people (myself included) will probably tell you to simply sell what you have and buy an HH EBMM. Why? Because you can't buy EBMM pickups from the factory, only second-hand on places like eBay. Also, modding your bass will only take it's resale down; and even if you don't think you'll ever sell it, check the classifieds for a list of "I thought I'd never do this" threads. The best thing to do is to find an HH near you, and test drive it and see if it's what you want. You may be happy with what you already have and not know it!

cheers for the reply,....i still not sure which way to go,but now youv said it will de value quite a bit, thats putting me off,so yes, i might just leave things be,.....and the spare mm pickup maybe can go on ebay thanks nic
