what year is this bass? and can someone explain how the string dampner system works? do you have to use them?

Pretty sure it is a 2013. You don't have to use the damper system. There are knobs for each string that you turn to move the mute pad closer to the strings depending on how much dampening you want.

Ok, I picked up an EUB, but still Looking for a Rick, or maybe a AVRI P bass, Lakland Skyline P Plus cash, Kinal P.
