Musicman Sterling HH Pickups

I couldn't find the answer to my question using the search tool so sorry if this has been discussed before. I just wanted to get some opinions on some of the best replacement pickups for this bass. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] Thanks.

As far as I know only Basslines (SMB-4a) and Nordstrand (MM4.3) made drop in replacements for the dummy coiled Sterling pickups. Nordstrand has discontinued production of their MM4.3 and replace it with the MM4.4, but I believe some NOS can be found at Invalid Link Removed

I put in a Nordstrand MM4.4 in my single H Sterling recently and am impressed with the smoothness of the tone.

go with the Nordstrand MM4._ (whatever it is now, I did it with a 4.2). Here is a pic. It's an H, not an HH, but the Nordstrand smoothed out the tone compared to the stock PUP. I love this bass and just wish it had a neck PUP too.

Nice project, good advice! Here's my advice: Save yourself time, money and hassle; Don't order anything from Buzzardsbass.:rollno:
