Musicman's ash

Well, I've seen at MM's site that they use selected hardwoods for their basses (stingray and sterling), being mainly ASH.
I've heard many people say that Swamp ash is better in terms of tone than hard or northern ash, but I've never heard of a musicman being made of SWAMP ash.
So... what kind of ash are musicman basses made of??

Mine is Swamp Ash, natural finish.

I've heard ATKs are/have been made with swamp ash. So it seems a little strange that Musicmans aren't.

Musicman definitely uses both types of ash. I have owned quite a number of very light swamp ash bodied MM basses. The Sterling below is 8.5 lbs and the Stingray below that is 8.0 lbs even.
