mxr analog chorus vs bass chorus deluxe

So im looking into choruses lately and I borrowed the analog chorus from my guitar player and it was pretty cool. Went online , read some and came across with the bass chorus deluxe , also by MXR. It looked cool and i thought that it is probbably better for, it's bass specific, but than I saw the price of it. 70$ more than the analog chorus!! Does it realy worth the extra $$$?

@Amir Nehmad , found this thread by doing a search on the MXR Bass Chorus, and I had the exact same question as you, and it so happens that I went to the store yesterday and tried them both. If all you need is your basic chorus, the Analog Chorus is fine. I thought they both sounded equally good on bass. The crossover mode in the Bass Chorus Deluxe is neat, but I didn't think it was worth the extra money if all you need is chorus. However, if you want a chorus that you can change into a good little flanger with a unique vibe, then the BCD is worth the extra money. Still thinking it over because I'm cheap, but I think I'm going to spring for the BCD.

the mxr stereo chorus has the same crossover but it's a bigger size and no flanger.

I was wondering about this pedal too. I know both pedals work well on bass, but I do wonder if it'll work well with overdrive and distortion effects. I do use distortion effects with chorus which widens and thickens my sound. the black label chorus can do that, I wonder however if these chorus pedals from mxr will do the same. the reason why I ask is that I was thinking about purchasing one of the chorus pedals for if I'm ever in the market for a new chorus pedal.

I don't see why they wouldn't, Crystalman. I didn't get to try them with distortion but they sound great. I would imagine that the Black Label is some sort of variation of the same basic circuit, though I could be wrong.

I read somewhere that the black label chorus and Analog Chorus are the same. MXR market the same circutry in the same boxes and knobs while the only difference is the name so it will spread to bigger range of consumers.

I have put the whole chorus thing on hold, I have got some more urgent needs right now but I think I'll get the analog chorus (or the black label), i have no intrest in flange and i could pass the crossover function .

I currently own a danelectro cool cat cc-1 chorus pedal and it worked pretty well with my distortion pedals. it widens and thickens my distorted bass sound. I guess the mxr chorus pedals can work well with distortion pedals. the black label chorus was made for zakk wylde from black label society. based on sound samples I've heard, the black label might have a little more lush. circuitry might be the same. who knows. I was thinking about getting the black label chorus if I ever needed a new chorus pedal for any reason.

Are they really?...I've looked up a youtube clip of the mxr analog chorus and the black label chorus and the black label sounds like there's a little more lush. here's the clip.

Ya, the Black Label sounds like it'll be more intense with the same knob settings, but the chorus itself sounds pretty similar in this demo IMHO.

The black label chorus from my perspective sounds like there's a little more lush than the analog chorus. but other than that, they seem to have the same circuitry. I know that crapusername favors the black label chorus. he said that it sounds real lushful on bass. I'm guessing some people would say the same thing about the analog chorus.the mxr website mentioned that the analog chorus is one of the mxr gutiar pedals that you can use on bass. I'll bet the black label chorus is also useful on bass. like you said, it pretty similar to the analog chorus. honestly I would go for the black label chorus mainly because I'm a fan of black label society. other than that, they're both good sounding chorus pedals.
