MXR M-80...True Bypass?

I'm almost positive that it isn't...

Sorry I can't give you an exact answer though...but much like the "Sans Amp" thread, a quality made box will still sound good whether it's true bypass or not. I've never played through the M-80, so I can't comment on the quality of it, but I have heard good things...
 
I think there is a test you can do. If you set it all up with the bass and amp but take out the battery/power supply for it and you can still hear your uneffected bass then it's true bypass, if not then it isn't. I think that works. hope it helps :)

That often works, but not always. About the only well to actually tell is to open it and see what kind of stomp switch is being used.

But I don't think the M-80 is, though.
