MXR Phase 90 vs EHX Nano Small Stone

Expanding on the Nano Small Stone "volume"...

The original Small Stone had a minor volume drop. The Nano Small Stone corrected that problem, so volume is NOT an issue with it at all. I've owned both, and there is no reason to go with the old Small Stone, IMO. Go Nano! :)

Bar Refaeli, All i can respond is- GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RAWRRR
Anyhow, We have overpriced stores here X: Only Rash Gash are awesome, But they don't sell MXR and EHX...

Anyhow, I ordered the following.

EHX Bass Big Muff
Boss ODB-3
Digitech Hardwire DL-8 Delay/Looper
EHX Nano Small Stone
MXR Phase 90

I'll decide between the phasers and sell it in my country
Well, That's all folks.

Thanks TB, I hope i won't come to the effects section to consult for a LONG TIME.
I'm dont with pedals, I'll get a multidrive and Octaver in the future (Might get Tremol- GAH ITS STARTING AGAIN)

In the future :P...

I personally really liked both the Nano Stone and the NYC box Stone. I had no problems with volume drop from either one of them. In fact...the NYC Stone I had almost had a slight volume boost. Which I guess was unusual for that model. I only sold them because I was hard up for cash. I will get one again...most likely the NYC.

+1 to this.

Also I tried out the Phase 90 and Nano Small Stone side-by-side a couple of years ago. I came home with the Nano Stone...by far warmer, more organic (organicer?), and thicker.

I am still thinking about the rumors that Bar Refaeli will probably pose nude for playboy.

OH SORRY
As i said, In the future probably MultiDrive and Tremolo and some Octaver.
AND SPACESTATION AND WHAMMY AND LOOPER AND TUNER ETC.

It says the Phase 90 adds a bit of overdrive
and the EHX has a sound loss problem

Can anyone confirm or deny those?

I like the 90. The block logo Phase 90's of today are little more intense (effect-wise) than the older script logo versions. This may be the cause of distortion for some. Look around on the web...there is a very simple mod to remedy this (on the pcb). I personally didn't mind the stronger effect...and have had no problems.

I'm about to buy the Phase 90 (or so I hope) on eBay, and do the R28 mod to it to remove the mid boost.

There's a great clip (guitar not bass) that examples both these pedals side by side that I've found on youtube:

That should give you a great idea of the overall tone of both.

I've been having the same dilemma; after watching this vid a few times it's clear the Phase 90 is for me, just so clean and natural and lush and mmmmmmm sounding.
