MXR Phase 90

Well im going through a bit of a pedal collecting phase at the moment. I've been buying and selling mostly used pedals and giving them a go for a while. With most of the pedals, I've known roughly what im going to be in for. I just scored an MXR Phase 90 on evilbay pretty cheap. Its the re-issue. I basically bought it cos it was going so cheap and I've seen a few getting around on peoples boards here, so I thought 'WHY NOT!!??'.
I've had a bit of a search and most the info coming up was comparing them to phase 45 etc which I also have no idea about.
So... What am I in for? Are they any good? Lose any low end?? All that kinda stuff.

I've used 3 phasers now.. this one, the Small Stone, and the BOSS PH-2 or whatever...

The PH-2 resides on a fellow TB'ers board now...

The 90 is agreat little pedal.. it's really simple, and the large knob (please say yours has the rubber cap on it, too) makes it really easy to adjsut the rate without bending ove.. just nudge it with your toe...

There's no low end loss, and it adds nice swells and phases to the tone... overall a great pedal!

totally run your muff -> 90 for an insane sound.... It's almost vaguely synth like!

What the??!!?? HAhah Im getting head spins just thinking about that one... The back to back bassballs is a cool idea :D

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead but, the Phase 90 showed up today :)

What a cool little box :) I've only had a couple of hours messing around with it so far but, im impressed!! Its nice and small and doesn't lose any low end. Not sure if its true bypass, but it bypasses nicely. Can run on battery or power supply etc..
The rubber cap you get with it to put on the speed control is a good idea too. You can hold a note and spin the control with your toe easily to get some crazy siren like sounds :D Then just spin it back when your done!
As Bassman314 posted before, Muff into Phase 90 is great. The whoosh sound you get when they are combined is insane...I think its made me love my muff even more :hyper:

Anyhoo, I've only been noodling around with it so far so thats about all I can say about it as yet. Just thought id let you know I got it :D

EHX Little Big Muff => EHX Small Stone = VERY synth-like sounds

The Phase 90 really does remind me of Van Halen (the ones who made it excessively famous). The Small Stone, on the other hand, sounds more psychadelic to me... reminding me of Pink Floyd :D
