I think they ought to make three models: a 1 (non-sliding) pickup model, a 2 pickup model and a 3 pickup model.

i dont think so, part of what made those bass's them is they all had their own pickups.
i cant stand jsut slapping t bird pickups in most things, which is what they seem to do. theyr so big and boring
