I recorded using a subkick mic and I liked the low end.
As high as $500 for speaker,someone is selling one on line for $1999.
I made a subbass mic. Go on line to build this type of mic

Nice work! It's useful to remember that the original "subkick" mics were all DIY...engineers would typically pull the woofer out of a Yamaha NS10 studio monitor and jury-rig it onto a stand. It was only after that practice became widespread that the commercially-available models started to appear.

The Solomon LoFreq is a good low-cost option for those who want this kind of thing but aren’t DIY-capable. I’ve got one and it does the job.
