Hi all, I haven't been on the past couple of weeks, been busy. Yes I know I have pics to load up regarding my Peavy Dyna-bass to show I got it.
And to those that have kept up with my GAS; I got that Peavey Foundation fiver in yesterday...holy cow!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the past year I have passed up several opportunities to get a 5 string bass. I have always been the traditional 4 string player but when I was getting back into it, since I had always fancied the idea of trying a 5 string, I put a 5 string Peavy Millennium on layaway. But I dropped it when I saw my friends Brownsville bat and since then have backed out of a couple other chances to get a fiver. When that Foundation5 popped up on evilbay and it was the clone of my foundation4...well...I almost backed out but then went through with it. I am so glad I did!!!!!!
I was a bit apprehensive on whether I would take to one fast or not. Well this thing R O C K S
I am busy trying to figure out why I deprived myself of 5string goodness all this time. I took to it like a fish to water. I am in love.
The width of the neck on this thing did have me wondering but once I put my hand around it, its thin, yes a bit wide but just 'funkygood' in the feel (and it feels fast). Its just awesome and comfortable.
And yes, I know, no pics no bass. Some of you guys know the axe Im talking about and saw the auction where I won it (and the Dyna for that matter)... I held off on taking pics of the dyna cause I wanted to wait till I got the fiver in so I could take them all at once. Bear with me guys, pics of my Peavey bass brood is coming!!!!
It was suggested that I get a pic taken with both my fire engine red foundations strapped to me at once; playing one with the other on my back..sounds like a winner to me.
