My first "real" bass

I bought this Fender Jazz bass a few weeks ago and wanted to mod it. I painted the pick guard and installed some pickup covers. What do you guys think?

I like it! I'm considering putting pickup covers on mine but I don't want to drill holes into it. Pickguard looks nice as well!

Thanks! I used an adhesive tape for the covers.

Very nice! The painted pickguard is a great mod that helps to differentiate your bass from the masses.

Thank you! Ya, I didn't want to spend 30-40 dollars on a new one. It was pretty easy to paint

This makes me want to paint a pickguard myself. I have a white jazz bass so I could do pretty much any color. Right now it's vintage white body, with a more pure white PG. either paint a PG to my liking or buy this:
