Well! after Thinking and waiting, then thinking some more, then worrying, then waiting again, ive finally recieved my first real rig.
Ill quikly run through what i wanted, and why i wanted it;
- im a socially hyper 16 year old, so buying a botique rig was simply out of the question.
- I did not want to carry more than one cab about, so either a powerful head or 4ohm cab was paramount.
- From the long list of cabs ive burrowed/used, i really, really did not rate the ashdown mag series, many people had told me to try it out and such, which i did, but it just had no punch. i like my mids.
So! after much deliberation i bought this,

I do believe that the 4omh 410 is a relativly recent addition to warwicks range, which merriliy sorts out the volume issues these heads have running at 8ohms. i did look at the 411 pro, but simply could not justify an extra 60 quid and ten kilos for a horn!
Now, the criticisms;
- What people have been saying about the gain light coming on prematurly are unfortunatly very true. However, i have some comfort in knowing that if i cant physically hear and clipping i can adjust the on board compressor accordingly, just to be on the safe side.
- My Cort C4's neck pickup is what id happily describe as "pure" bass, very little tone shaping to it, just lots and lots of lows, and when im playing low rolling notes the cab does loose some of its smoothness, it dosnt by any means sound bad, just requires a little eq'ing depending on what song im playing, which is a little awkward.
On the whole though, i am more than happy with this budget, sweet little setup. The highs are pronounced, and the mids are very dark, and very punchy, just what a power trio needs!
