Other than the headstock shape, looks just like my little buddy Rockwood. I did change out the pickup, but that's all. One of the best sounding P's I've ever owned. Plays great too. But I'm a short scale lover.

It's a shorty? Throw some flats on it. Stick whichever "vintage" pickup you want in it and it'll prolly become your main recording bass for old school tones.

Don't underestimate a short scale bass. I did the short scale/flats thing for years before I went to 5+ strings.
