You can get them for very little (MIC) - but there are more substantial versions out there. FTR, the minimal/cheap versions work. The devil's in the details as always.
Minimal MIC version - offers string-thru.
These are the type installed on Ibanez basses - string-thru and beefy. (still light weight) They also have a flange that is below the base for a more thorough grounding to the body.

The single string bridges are still not produced.... the price each will be around 70 USD
So the economics of your business model are a bit stacked against you. Your competition at the premium end retails for about 1/2 that, with proven designs. Which means that they are likely producing them at less than 1/4 that (or >$15 /unit, and realistically probably more like >$5/unit)
Which is why the knockoff copies are selling for $20/set.
You also need to consider who is paying $300 for a bass bridge, and what the competition at the price point is.

Yes you're right, my Bass bridge is not cheap & you'll not find any other Bass Bridge as mine on the market!
My competitors are all based in Asia & working for all other brands worldwide selling them made in ...
When you buy a brand new Ferrari, you'll not get the same car manufactured from the competitors for 1/5 of the price ...
Hi, these MIC bass bridges are honestly not the best one.. I've purchase all kind of different Bass Bridges manufactured in MIC, yes they are cheap , but the quality /Material used & much more ... OMG
Then buy some good stuff form ABM or ETS ....

Oh I know, I totally understand something high-end compared to what's affordably available. I misunderstood Videojunkie's question as being more general. More higher-end bridges that come to mind that are selling well are made by Babicz. Possibly they are also MIC, I don't know. Anyway, it's a hard biz to be involved with - you gave it your best.
Just so you know, I was not trying to disparage the bridges, and if that was the price for the ones with the tuners, I would seriously consider them for a headless bass. They are seriously cool looking!
I just think that the market for $300 bridges is relatively small. If they were half the price it would be a serious consideration for future projects. (For my budget)

Hi, a standard 4 String Headless Bass Bridge from Hipshot is listed for 385$
….
I'd look at comparing to the ETS and ABM single string headless tuning bridges, as those are arguably pretty high end. Hipshot makes a guitar single string headless tuning bridge but not a bass one. All of these fall in around roughly 50 USD per unit. NOVA headless are up there in quality too and they work out to under 40 USD each, and that includes the base plate and the headpiece. The Rinaldis are really nice I have to say, and there are a few other high end options too.

Hipshot makes a lot of (great) products so they can afford to not sell many of those bridges.
@Rinaldis Have you talked to Heiko over at BassLab? He has been having fits with his main hardware supplier ( great hardware, but long long wait times).
IF my first BassLab (build has been delayed for months due to hardware procurement issues!) turns out as expected, I would be keen to use your hardware on a second one. Ritter is probably a candidate for such high-end hardware as well..

Hi I don't want to talk here what other manufacture are selling on the market. My EVO bass bridges are as you know licensed ( a patent was done by Jens Johnsen over 20 years ago).... by the way I had the same idea more than 25 years ago ( I'm 54 years old today), anyway Jens contacted me & gave me his OK to manufacture a bass bridge like he has patented... I've redesigned the Bass bridge & added some design feature ( I'm Italian we love design) The manufacturer you've named is one of those I've contacted to do some mods on his design ... never get a reply & he knows very well that this mods would be great for all bass player... therefore no one is forced to buy my bass bridge I'm doing my own stuff myself the best way I can with the best available sub- contractors & material available on the market... yes of course it's not the best way the sell a lot of bass bridges, but I don't want to sell low/poor-quality, there are enough manufacture around who can sell poor quality Bass Hardware
