Funny that you said, "it even slaps great," like it is a surprise. I just have to say I'm not too crazy about the sunburst in non-pickguard Sadowskys. They kinda looks like the sunbursts in Mexican Fenders.

That's what I thought when I first glanced at'er.

Congrats though, aesthetics are not everything when you've got "THE" tone.

Thanks man the reason I said "it even slaps great" is because I have heard that this bass is not a slapper , that it didn't sound that good for slap also I had a 24 Fret Metro before this one and It didn't sound that great when slapping, and this is a killer!!!

Because the pickups' location, it does have that "nasal" or "doinky" slap sound to it - I sometimes miss the typical Fender Jazz bass slap sound, but after awhile I realized that it has a very distinct character. Want to turn heads? Slap with the neck pickup soloed in! Nasty! (in a good way).

BTW, I have it strung with TI flats. The bass is so bright, that even with flats it retains plenty of snap and brightness - truly, the best of both worlds (old-school and modern). I like to call it "Hi-Fi Old-School!"
