My Refinished Squier Jazz Bass

Hi everyone,

Here is my Squier Contemporary Jazz Bass that I stripped down, and refinished in gold leaf. Someone suggested I share it with you all. I used 2k rattle cans for the clear coat. Pics below. I also did the following:

Fender SCN pickups
Volume | Balance | Tone
Omega High Mass Bridge
Gotoh GB640R Cosmo Black Tuning Machines
Gotoh Cosmo Black String Retainer
Gotoh Cosmo Black Strap Pins
Black Neck Plate
WD Black Single Ply Pickguard
Rolled Fingerboard Edges
Set the bass up to my specs

Here's a vid I just did, if you want to hear it:

Nice!
I'm not a fan of gold finishes, but I think yours with the interlaced black areas and the logos is a stunner.
How did it go with the clear coat? Did you have to wet sand and buff a lot?
Thinking about doing it myself someday.

I used Spraymax 2k clear coat. Yes, I sanded and buffed. I can't do a finish like Fender here at my NYC apartment, but it's fun to do it yourself.
