My Rumble 25 has gas.

Ok i have a fender rumble 25, and it is messed up. It makes this weird fart sound if i get the volume to 25% or higher!!!!!!

I have taken it apart to see if maybe the cone was busted cause thats what it reminds me of, but it is fine i mean the whole speaker is perfect.

Has anyone else had this problem or have an idea to help me.

thanks for your time.

That's not a very powerful amp and it has a small speaker. You can't play very loud with one. They're designed to play at home quietly while practicing. You cant get much bass out of one without it distorting.

I have a little Peavey Minx with about 35 watts and a 10 inch speaker that I used strictly for at home practice for over 15 years. It was plenty loud enough for that but I couldn't push it very hard and keep a clean sound and it's a more capable amp than the Rumble, and naturally more expensive. These days I use a Yorkville 50 watt, 1x10 combo for at home practice. It'll play a bit louder without distorting and has a better sound. It's plenty for practice at home at sane volumes.

The Rumble is a nice sounding amp for bass when you keep the volume down. Where you have the volume control on the amp set at doesn't mean much. You have to take into account how hot the signal from your bass is and how much boost you're using on the eq of your bass and on the amp.

This may seem like a obvious question, but do you have active pickups? I have a Rumble 100, and the only time I got a fart sound was when the battery was low.

nope my bass is passive.

the reason i think something may be wrong is because it didnt use to do this and all of a sudden it does it and has been for like 3 weeks:mad: but i can see what your saying.

So when you put the new speaker that fixed it huh. well then does that mean the speaker is not so great from the start?
