ok gang, i have to write a paper about a comparison of three basses in my english class... the good news is i can use you all as second hand resource!!! so look at all three and tell me what you think, especially if you have played/ own one of them.

Not to sound cle-shay (I doubt that's how you spell it, but whatever) I would get a classic/normal MIA Precision, Classic/normal MIA Jazz, and a Stingray (single pickup) simply because these are the basses that pioneered the certain types of pickups out there, at least.

I actually have played the fender jazz, and music man sting ray, and I own an ibanez btb. I'd have to say the jazz has more of a classic tone that not only works well for jazz but for rock and blues as well. The stingray has a tone that is full, cuts through, and is great for almost all styles of music. The btb has a more modern tone That I feel is best suited for rock, funk, and metal. Hope this helps.
