I like Skip and have bought product from him. I hope to continue to do so. That said, I can see why he got his hand slapped. Furthermore, I have to roll my eyes at this "I'm gonna take my ball and go home" thread he's started here. Honestly..... Man the **** up, modify your behavior and continue being a contributing member of this board.

This is why.

I see little point in having conversations that I have no passion, knowledge or interest in. My public scolding was not unwarranted, and was my second warning. A third is/was inevitable.

I have skin in every game now - instruments, strings and electronics - and I will at every turn extol the benefits of my opinions and work. This runs contrary to the rules.

The moderators don't need any more work to do than they've got, and I hope my work speaks louder than my words here and there on a forum.

Time to get back to work.

That's a little extreme.

Firstly, it's Skip's fight, and secondly, it isn't even as big of a deal that everyone is making. His post (while joking), encouraged another member to use his brand. Mod saw and gave a little slap on the wrist - no warning, no ban, just a reminder for him that advertising his product in any way was against the rules. Open and shut; let's move on with pertinent discussion.

EDIT: Lol. I guess this is considered "pertinent discussion" with respect to this thread, but you know what I mean.
