There's a serial number or build code on the back of the headstock... Would a one-off or boutique have that?

My customs did often small builders still do that sometimes its the initials of the original owner than the number of the build so perhaps the 120th instrument.

JAF looks but probably not.

I see the resemblance, but definitely not. I have 2 JAFs, including a very similar model - two of the very best basses I own!

Hi, yes I made this bass for a fella named Jeff Novack. I had made one for myself initially, so this would have been the twin to that one. Not sure what happened to it after that. The flamed purpleheart was the feature on that one, 35" scale, and I was doing a lot of single pickup basses back then -this has a Bartolini P4 and NTMB preamp. I could send you an image of my old logo if you wanted to have something put on the headstock.

I dunno if it goes against TB's rules regarding self-promotion, but do you have a website showcasing your work? I really, really like this, and would love to see more. (purely as a voyeur, unfortunately.)
