Yes to that. I see the husband of the featured singer posted at #9. It seems she/they are interested in collaborations, maybe they just need to take over handling it themselves, or find a more communicative communicator, to promote them? I get what the OP was trying to do, but....![]()
Hey folks, he was just trying to help out a friend as I wasn't sure about posting anything. We sent him and wife this today and he enjoyed it so much he asked if he could post it. That was it.
As I mentioned, thanks to those who listened and enjoyed the song. Yeah, we're interested in collaborating but as I said, I wasn't sure how to get this all started and my buddy from the Combo Club offered me a hand. Maybe we could move on from the opening as he's a great guy who's her biggest fan.
My challenge is we don't have any originals to post on SoundCloud, etc, and so I'm wondering if there's some place where you can post and share what you do have in the hopes of starting up some collaboration.
If anyone can help by pointing me in thr right direction I'd be much obliged. We've got about a year's worth of material with quite a few we'd love someone who's interested to maybe listen to. Thanks a bunch!
Well, I am not asking for anyone to ID the singer. I am not trying to find collaborators for her. I did not produce the track, so I am hardly showing off.
As far as your final "Or" question, I suggest you read the post again. If you do not like the post or the tune, why not just ignore it and move on?

She's pretty awesome yoNo, my friend and musical critic, SoulReflection, was just posting one of my wife's recordings, covering a tune from a Spiderman movie soundtrack.
I've been recording her for the past year, playing bass and/or cajon on most tracks, relying on the studio musicians of each song for the instruments we don't play.
I've really enjoyed the recording process as a whole, though I realize the pool is deep and there's a lot I still have to learn, it's been a wonderful way to spend time together.
Thanks to all those who've listened so far, we appreciate the interest, and are interested in collaborating if you need a terrific singer, both lead and harmony backing vocals. And a big thanks to SR, for getting the ball rolling!![]()
Reverbnation, bandcamp, there's a local "craigslist" kind of site that is just for musicians seeking musicians. I forgot what that one is called, maybe BandMate?Hey folks, he was just trying to help out a friend as I wasn't sure about posting anything. Start a new thread where you make your intentions clear from the start and I'm sure you will get more interest and a lot more helpful replies. I realize your friend posted this to help you out but he has not been doing you any favours the way he responded to other TB members. You will probably be better off it the mods just close this thread ASAP.
Maybe try kompoz.com It's all about collabs, some good, some bad, but usually fun.

Spot on!You wife has an exceptional and lovely voice. She would benefit from working with a producer or engineer who will be honest with her to improve the VERY few areas in which her intonation isn't hitting the mark. It's very clear she's got the ear and musculature to sing well and hit her targets, so these little micro areas are likely just things she didn't notice.
A good engineer or producer will have the ear to flag these moments and get a do-over, which will ultimately pull a flawless performance out of an exceptional singer. This is how it's done on a pro-level, most singers don't always do a flawless performance in one take and we all need someone behind the glass who will say "let's try that one again."
Many so-called producers are not up to the task because they don't have the ear for it.
I only mention this because it's clear she has the talent to do this exceptionally well, and a lot of people will blow smoke and tell you she's perfect. She very nearly is, but finding a producer worthy of her talents is your real challenge here.
Best of luck!
