Double Bass Nørgård symphony 6 part?

Hello all!

Does anyone have a part to this piece or know where I could get my hands on it?

This is for an international master's audition and so far, I have been unable to get it from my current school or the other school.

Did you try contacting the library of Congress? What edition is it? You can also try the publisher. Most likely won't get it for free...

I haven't tried LoC just yet and i'm checking into a couple of librarian channels. If there is a chance of getting it gratis, I'll opt for that first over paying for 14 measures of music.

I'm sure you'll find it. After I do some practice I'll contact some people and see. You should message the librarians at Crane School of Music, we have a huge library, often Juliard borrows music from us!
If they don't have it check the LCat, you can pickup the part at your local library (might have to be a university library, however most university's allow residents to get a library card free) an ILL is free and usually takes anywhere from a day to a week to get there.

Thank you very much for you help! I do appreciate it. I found out that the piece is rental only from a music librarian at the local symphony. I don't know what that means for something like ILL but i'll give that a shot. I'm hoping the school will just send it to me since it is on their audition list.

As this is not for sale but on rental only, the organization running the audition will have to ask Hansen/Schirmer for permission to reproduce the measure requested. The organization should then make it available to all those that audition. Otherwise this would not be a fair audition.
