This Ampeg SVT 7Pro arrived today. Bought new. I paired it with an Amp 610HLF cab. Rockin' rig. Trying to find a smaller version of the SVT-CL and it's close. Close enough, my back sez...

Sorry, rack haters. No offense....

I have a tuner and a single-space blank panel for the rack. I'm probably going to mount a PolyTune 2 on another rack panel. Kinda weary of those UFO-landing-light rack-space tuners...

These two just met, but they are getting along nicely...:D

Wish I hadn't made the rack dig. I think we're all sure where we stand on that. Personal preference, I've moved things around in racks all of my professional life. But as with all things in life, I don't advocate anyone following my habits and patterns. Make it work for you.

I've actually considered one of these...

But of course, I have serious doubts whether I could actually manage such a piece of gear. I could get it in and out of my Nissan at the house because of the arrangement of my front porch, but at the gig, there's no way I could move it by myself!! Maybe if I luck up on a big tour (yeah, right!)...Of course, we aren't talking about a 8-lb Mini-Mega or such an amplifier...

Anyway, it's all good. The SVT7-Pro takes its first gig tomorrow. Can't wait!

Are those handy boxes grounded? Don't see the ground screws. (sorry. ocd electrician)

Yes, very much so grounded. Through the ground lug and metalwork of the outlets. You are looking at the backs of the handy boxes.

Now that OA Windsor is back up and running, I plan to replace those handy-boxes with their tour-grade plastic boxes.

I liked your rack dig, Geri O. I'm not a fan of racks. I do have a 7 Pro I keep in a rack, but that's a rig I use exclusively on the road when trailer travel is required.
