N B(ook) D! Aebersold Jazz

Just got this in the mail today. Excited to crack it open tonight and get to work!

I've used this years ago, in college... as a trumpet player! I hope to dust of my jazz theory and build up my chord chart-following skills. I don't really plan on much soloing, but want to strengthen my knowledge and comfort up and down the fret board.

Check out Band In a Box. It allows you to create your own back up tracks plus there used to be a users group that created files for the jazz standards. My copy died with the hard drive. Been debating buying a new copy.

Yes! That looks useful, Especially learning songs in new keys. Come to think of it, that would come in handy for my cover band....
