Hello, just found this site, and I figure all input that I can use is good!

I'm 74, have played the fiddle for 40+ years, by ear. I just started FINALLY to play the bass, and I am so in love.

I've got an Ibanez Mikro, I'm doing lessons through Pickup Music to help learn basic nuts and bolts and beyond, as well as give me some structure to help get the bass into my hands.

after that, lately I just jam on random blues tracks. my plan is to get out to some live local blues jams, 'ere long.

I regret it took this long to get here, but I'm here now.

Welcome!

Hey, you’ve already been playing music for over 40 years - that’s a lifetime full of music. Now you’re just expanding the tools in your hands :)

I’ve been playing guitar for a few years myself and only picked up the bass a little over a month ago. I also do most of my learning through Pickup Music (great platform) for both guitar and bass. Like you, I love the blues, and I also started my bass journey with an Ibanez Mikro… though the bass collection has already started growing pretty quickly 😂

Enjoy the journey, and have fun getting out to those blues jams!
