NAD - Hiwatt Bulldog 17 w/Bluetooth

I'm LOVING this amp. 17 watts of featherlight thunder. If you need a starter amp or practice amp, I don't see how you could do better. $115 + tax on Hiwatt's reverb store.

After fiddling with it for a while I found it sounded best with all controls set to high noon and the volume dimed. Use your instrument volume knob to dial in the appropriate level.

Has some satisfying thump and loud enough for a coffee shop gig or open mic.

Hi man, been trying to find reviews of this line of amps, and I'm torn between getting the 17W or the 30W version. How are you finding the 8" speakers to hold up?
I'm looking for a practice amp, for gigs I use a Bass Simplifier which solves all of my problems, but currently the only amp I own at home is a Roland JC-22 and I fear I can damage it by passing the bass signal through it, and also it doesn't really sound like a bass.

Hey sorry for the late reply. It sounds great as a practice amp. Light weight and no nonsense. Wouldn't gig with it unless it's acoustic guitars and no percussion. I like the Bluetooth for headphone usage. Cheers!

Hi! Ended up getting the 30W, I'm not entirely in love with it, but it works for what I need at this stage. Gracias!
