NAD: Monster Ampeg (not really...) - Pic heavy-ish

Ampeg Micro-VR

I picked this up at Long & McQuade (Canada wide music store) the other day after having ordered it, and my first impression? I LOVE this amp!

The oomph and punch coming from it is amazing! Unfortunately, the fan is a bit annoying, but it's nothing major. There were a few issues with the Micro-VR I tried at the store, but one I noticed more than anything was when I'd switch either the -15dB or the limiter switch while in active mode (with a 2010 Deluxe Jazz/Precision), there'd be an awful cracking noise much like touching the plug-in chord to your finger while it's hooked up to the amp. Now, I'm pretty sure it's just because of the big change in volume (which is already amplified by the active electronics), but again, there were a few other issues. Which is why I ordered one in.

A comparison in size between my hand and the amp:

I love this feature! Being able to plug both my ipod and headphones into the amp at the same time. There is absolutely no sacrifice in tonal quality when I'm playing through headphones, it's amazing.

2010 Deluxe Jazz. I ordered a pickguard for it just the other day.
