Big and fast. It has the bass boost switch. I turn it on and adjust the bass knob to tame it. It’s a killer preamp and well matched to Minnie 800 power amp.

I have a Minnie 800D and I’m thinking about getting the Minnie pre. How is it working for you?

It’s quite amazing. It’s a whole different animal with the bass boost switch. I love my VTBP-M- 800D because it is so incredibly fast. But this new pre gives you both.Incredibly huge ( if you want it) and fast. It really helps out with any bass with a lower ( let’s say vintage) output pickup. I used it with my 2000 fretted Jaco jazz with labella LTF’s and some muting and it just sounded huge though my Baer ml115 . Had the treble at noon, mids dimed, bass boost on with the bass control at 10:00 - 11:00. 120/60 switch set to 60. Pretty much what you see in the photo. Never touched it again that night. Of course just my .02.
