Naitve Instrumetns Battery 3

Anyone use this?

I am looking for a top quality drum program for both acoustic and electronic glitch type drums.

How does it compare to BFD?

I haven't used BFD, but I've used Battery since version 1, and it is a great plugin (I use it in Logic).

Your best bet would be to get separate software for acoustic and electric drums.

For acoustic drums, it really depends the style you need. Favorites of mine include the NSKit7 (full version), Bonzo drums, Addictive Drums, etc.

For electric maybe look into RMIV or something.

Acoustic drums i use EZdrummer, it is fantastic! I haven't got a Electric drum VST but BADLY need one, maybe i should consider buying that instead of expanding my bass collection ?

I can vouch for NI producing some quality stuff. I have several of their programs, most have been out-dated or have better alternatives though

i have battery II. i have yet to send native instruments more $ for III. and i probably won't.

i still use battery II for some electronic drums (as well as other NI products - kontaktII and akoustic piano).

but for the most part now i am using drumkit from hell superior. it gives you way more control and way more sound resolution than battery. Invalid Link Removed has some cool demos. i'm close to buying the version with older "traidtional" drumkits as well.

drumkit from hell is great if you want an emulator, if you want real control over your sound, but something which requires you to know a fair bit about drum programming before you get life-like results then battery is great.

there is no difference in sound quality.

for glitchy stuff, battery is great, but drumkit from hell could spawn hours of fun chopping up classic kit sounds.

kind of like a create your own break to mash workstation.

though to be honest if you really want electronic glitchy drums the proof is in your processing, and allot of that is easier to achieve once rendered to audio and shuffled around in cubase/logic etc
