I’ve not read every entry, so perhaps they’ve been mentioned, but I’m just going to go ahead and put out there King’s X. Yup, not everyone likes them or they would’ve been huge. But, amongst the TB community I’d hope they’d receive at least a decent reception. You don’t have to like everything they’ve recorded, but surely within their catalog there’s at least something you like. Me, I like everything, but some of it far more than others. Their solo and side project work I like as well. Lord knows they’ve had enough set backs that they keep trudging forward from and here I have tickets for April 25th and they’ll likely not get to play that date (amongst so many others they’ve had to cancel since last fall). They kill it live! New album hasn’t dropped yet, suppose that’s now on hold until after the current situation returns to whatever serves as normal now. Come on TB, show at least a little love for King’s X!

Mountain, yes! First time I heard more than “Mississippi Queen” (which I loved and had only heard it on the radio up to that point) was around 1987 when my brother and I went to a guy’s house and he played Mountain Climbing! on (original release) vinyl through a pair of enormous vintage Klipsch folded horn speakers and “Never In My Life” came on and it was one of those moments you never forget and have few things come close to afterward. Any single word to describe it would fall short. We literally looked at each other with eyes wide open and that “what the hell just happened” expression. When you hear something like that for the first time and it’s literally going all through your body, you just don’t ever forget it. I’ve been eternally grateful to this guy ever since for turning me on to so much great music. MrNylon thanks for posting Mountian!
