Hello. I just received a free bass from the in-laws, and it has this insanely loud p/u in it. Anybody know what it is? I'd rather not open it up to find out if I don't have to. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Out of curiosity, what model of bass is it? Is a G&L or did someone swap it into another bass?

It's a Washburn Bantam. They got it for next to nothing at a silent auction and gave it to me. Nice in-laws.
