There's a spot on my wall that could hold a bass if it was pretty narrow. The spot is about 10 inches wide, minus some for clearance. What would you put there?
Some ideas:
1: Hofner Shorty Bass. I saw a used CT at the store today. They were selling it for 100usd, which seems reasonable for the quality. It's not great!
(There are also shorty violin basses that look like they would suffer less from the issues the CT faced, which was terrible balance and poor pickup placement)
2:Ubass and similar. I'm assuming a solid body ubass could fit in these dimensions. I used to have a Journeyman.Nevermind, lower bout is 10.25 inches on the solid body.
3: Steinberger boat-oar shaped basses and related copies. I used to have a spirit XT-25. I'd probably look for a vintage steinberger (likely copy) instead. There seems to be vertical hangers for this kind of bass, at least with the 4-string ones. Liking the Hohner and Westone ones, the original Steinbergers probably way out of my range.
4: Traveler basses. Don't like.
Just a fun mental exercise when I should be practicing.
