Nash PB vs Fano JM4

I've been a long time jazz bass player (have had the same MIA J bass for close to 20 years) but I'm looking for something new for some heavier/sludgier rock stuff I've been playing lately.

I like tbird sounds, but can't stand the body shape in terms of playability, I tracked down a Fano with tbird like pickups and it played and sounded really nice.

But as I was wandering around I played a few Nash P basses that were ALL killer.

I guess this is more of a tbird style pickups vs p bass style pickups question, but anyone have experience with these?

Thanks!

What's the weight on the Fano?

For that kind of money I'd not put up with a heavier instrument.

I'm generally very fond of the ergonomics, weight and sound of p-basses.

Both are stellar instruments. The Nash is much lighter than the Fano (which weighs 9.2 lbs). I love both for different reasons - but a non-answer to your question is you can't go wrong with either.
