Just a Jazz. I've accumulated and built so many P's in the last couple of years, so I thought a nice Jazz unit was in order. It started with a nice pre-worn lightweight Warmoth body I picked up just a couple of days ago from a fellow TB'er. I made use of a precision neck I had laying around and extracted electronics and strings from another jazz bass I wasn't playing lately. A set of Ultralite tuners and a vintage-style bridge, and here's what I came up with. Nice and light at 8lbs with perfect balance.

Thanks. I prefer the typically thicker and wider P necks.

Nice catch you got there, Mike! Normally, I'm not a fan of gold as a primary body finish, but the "tarnished" look balances out the "bling-iness" and gives it character.

And therein lies the aforementioned "balance". There are times when too much of "something awesome" is less "awesome" and just "too much"…just ask any of my art teachers.
