I have not been this excited in some time over a vintage score...
I was really sweating bullets worried it would not get through US customs coming in from South Africa, but it safely arrived today in 1 piece with its Brazilian rosewood fret board. This is one of the first BassVI made to take to the 1961 NAMM show. It has the 10/61 neck date, and a clipped logo because they did not have the actual Bass VI logo ready. It will need a refin but other than that it is all in tact. Watch for the pickups soon. Actually I have been making the pickups for a couple years I just needed this to get the chrome ring and the cover made to vintage spec.
