NBD 1986 AVRI Precision. FiEsTA rEd!

First of all, I was in no market to buy a bass! But, a local bassist and friend of mine messaged me yesterday to tell me he was getting rid of this bass. Since we are friends through the local scene he offered it to me at a much lower price than the typical market on these. I’m a huge 60’s style precision fan and own many. Always wanted a Pino Palladino Custom Shop in my collection. This is the closest I’ll get for a while. Seemingly all original 1986 AVRI 62 P bass in Fiesta Red. This thing sounds and feels GREAT. 1.75” nut with a slim C or maybe D neck... I’m not an expert on these. I have a 59 Custom Shop with a 1.75” nut and a Slim D and they’re VERY similar. I don’t know a ton about these 80’s era reissues, but it seems they’re pretty good basses.

Yeah, mine definitely surprised me as to how easy it was to play. I haven't found that profile on anything but these reissues. I don't really see these around much, either.
I really thought my custom shop was the only bass I’d come across with that profile. Which was ordered specifically for that. It’s cool to know Fender used this profile on a production bass!

 that's why they call it a "disease!" :D

it's a great looking ax! i like the color. glad the neck feels right/righteous. congratulations on your new instrument!
It’s not COMPLETELY my fault. Luckily, or maybe unluckily, my old lady loves a nice bass as much as me and pushes me to buy when something like this pops up. I’ve acquired a custom shop 59, and American original 60’s P, a gold top Jack Casady, a surf green warmoth/fender, and now this because she pushed me over the undecided ledge.
