NBD: 1995 Fender "Squier Series" P Bass

Been wanting another P Bass for a while, figured I'd start small and work my way up. This one is going to get a J pup soon. I don't have alot to reference it to, but it sounds good, and feels really good! It's very clean too.

I'm not sure how much I want to spend on it...I know it could probably benefit from from some new hardware as well, but I'm on a tight budget these days, and the pickups will have to happen first. Any suggestions?

I been married 21 years, have a gaggle of children...I don't WANT more chicks...

I'm partial to the chrome knobs actually, but I'm in no rush. I am gonna get those flatwounds though. I've never used them before, always wanted to try...this is the bass to try em on!

It sounds good. Not as much bite as I was expecting, but I've only played it through a beringer 100w practice amp at low volume. It's been a while since I've had a P bass and that one wasn't stock, so I'm having a hard time coming up with a frame of reference. The reading I've done on the MIM "Squier Series" says they used some lower quality electronics, but it still sounds decent. The real test will be with the band I guess.

The pots are dirty which is no big deal, but just playing around with the tone pot and hand position I was amazed at all the different sounds I could get out of it!
