NBD: 1997 G&L honey burst L2000

Got this from a pawn shop, arrived today and it's in great shape.

Honey burst ash body.
Bi-cut neck, 1-11/16(1.68) nut, satin finish.
Looks like medium jumbo frets.

This is my first g&l and I'm impressed

Very pretty bass! Very cool how close the body and neck dates are...one day. If it plays as good as it looks that's one to keep!

Congrats and welcome to the club. It's a wonder that more Fender players don't play G&L's, I've been playing them
Since '92 when I bought an '83 L2000E fretless. That sucker was so heavy it put a permanent curve in my back!
But the versatility of sounds on these are almost limitless, I still own 3, an L2000 a L2500 and a JB2 and there are
only 2 bass tones I've been unable to duplicate that would be a rickenbacker and an Alembic. Anyway good luck and
have fun playing with all those knobs and switches!

So far the way I'm liking the controls is
Volume 75%
Treble 60%
Bass 50%

Both pickups
Parallel
Active , no treble boost

It came with some dead steel strings, roto sounds I believe.
I put DR Sunbeams on it.

This will take some getting used to but I'm liking it.

Looking into the K wiring mod.
